yes and did you know that recruit express eats up one third of your salary? say they offer you 7 bucks per hour, the company you're working for is actually paying about $11++ per hour for your services. that's what happened to my friend. she works like a dog for nothing.

i thought Recruit express only take a one time payment of 50 bucks from you???

recruit** does underpay part timers.i was assigned a 1 mth temp job at only $5.50/hr and i did not wana take up the offer initially as my expected pay was $6.50-$7/hr.Then they told me that the std rate is around $5-$6.$6.50/hr is unlikely.Ok so i took up the job because i believe their words!!!! then guess what when i was attached to this company for a month,i realised some other part timers from other agency A is paid at a rate of $6.50/hr for the SAME POST!!!!!!! hi, i do not believe part-time/temp positions pays $10/hr. At the very least, do know its a good learning experience. My fren at NUS ever did $6/hr when he's fresh, but ur market really increases when u gain working experience.

look for opportunities even if tasks you feels mundane. its the positive attitude that separates the winner from the rest.

Then i temp in an American Company.. they pays $8/hr..

yes VERYVERY bad experience with them. all of friends alr learn frm their mistakes.
they are very pushy and forces you to take 6/hr jobs or even lower. they keep saying it's market price and we shld try it out. oh come on. the company i was posted to actually says they are paying recruit abt 8-9/hr for our position!! worst thing is NEVER EVER SIGN THEIR CONTRACT!! we were cheated on the termination because it is written so vaguely and different agents says different stuff! it was suppose to be a 3 months contract and it ended up 4 months!! because in the end, they say we can only terminate AFTER we finish 3 months and give ONEMONTH notice. which obviously wasn't stated in the contract.

all in all, everyone knows they are very inprofessional!! no matter how desperate you are, don't try going there. there are so much better agencies out there...like adecco, kelly svcs etc
